All Purpose Recipe #1
Cleaner ? 1 can be made by using equal parts water and white vinegar and filling them in a spray bottle. This mixture should be shaken well and can be used for spraying almost on any surface. You should avoid using it for cleaning marble. Before using this cleaner on finished wooden surfaces you should test it on a small area.
Vinegar contains acetic acid that kills germs, viruses, bacteria and mould. It is very efficient sanitiser, stain remover and suitable to be used on almost every surface. This cleaner is perfect for removing obstinate mineral deposits from tubs, sinks and toilets. You should avoid contacting this cleaner with your eyes and skin as it is with most cleaners.
All Purpose Recipe #2
An alternative to the one above, and smells better because it is scented, the ingredients you will need are herbs or flower petals which can be fresh or dried, vinegar, two glass bottles and a strainer.
To make this cleaner first you should disinfect the bottles you will use. Now put the flowers or herbs you have chosen to use in any of the bottles. The more herbs and flower petals you use the stronger the scent of the cleaner will be.
Then, fill the bottle with vinegar and put a cap on it. Let this mixture soak for ten days, after that open the bottle and strain out the herbs and flower petals. Now you should pour the cleaning mixture in the second bottle and store it in some dark and cool place. Avoid using herbs with dark colours because they can create stains when using the cleaner.
All Purpose Recipe #3
Cleaner ? 3 which you can make with cheap ingredients that are easy to find in every shop. Use on almost any surface from dirty worktops to sinks. Made of borax, vinegar, lemon juice and some other deodorising ingredients, it does a terrific job. Borax is effective in removing grease and disinfection. Vinegar eliminates bacteria, while hydrogen peroxide is effective for sanitising until the surface shines.
For this cleaner you need:
- Half cup of vinegar
- One tablespoon of Borax
- One tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide
- The juice of one lemon or lemon essential oil
- Two glasses of hot water
- Rosemary
- Any essential oil
- A mixing bowl
- A whisk
- Cups and spoons that can be used for measuring
- A spray bottle
Directions
The rosemary and other essential oils are optional ingredients but make for both a lovely scent and extra cleaning. Supply yourself with the ingredients listed above. Now, put the Borax in the mixing bowl using a measuring spoon, add the hot water and whisk until this becomes a smooth mixture. Add the hydrogen peroxide, lemon (or lemon essential oil) and vinegar to the mixture and stir it carefully. Use a measuring cup with a spout to pour this cleaner in a spray bottle adding some drops of preferred essential oil or rosemary for scent. This all purpose cleaner is perfect for sanitising worktops, sinks and other surfaces. You should spray it and wipe the surface clean.
